How many leaf bags equals one square yard?

Joanne Eklund • October 4, 2019

An average leaf bag is 30 gallons

You can dispose up to seven 30-gallon paper eco-friendly bags at our site or just empty your leaf bags into our leaf pile and take the bags back with you.

Dear Valued Customer, As of October 1, 2021, wood waste disposal fee increases. Wood that is disposed at our site has to be ground into chips and hauled away as it cannot be burned. Wood grinding costs continue to increase as fuel prices goes up. In addition to this, the state has imposed new regulations that chips cannot be burned as an energy source anymore, therefore, we have to pay to have it hauled and pay to disposed of it. Consequently, we are raising our brush, branches and log disposal fees from $7 to $10 a cubic yard. If more sites refuse to accept chip deposal services, this may no longer be an option in the future. We want to continue to accept wood and provide affordable disposal options for our community and are looking at ways to continue to accommodate this. The good news is that we are keeping all other disposal costs at $5 such as leaves, grass, compost, clean soil, mulch/chips and garden waste. It is our privilege to serve you and we appreciate your business. Sincerely, Keith and Joanne Eklund
