Figuring out how much yard waste you have can be done by measuring with a yard stick the length x width x height in feet and dividing by 27.
Cubic Yards Example:
8 ft x 5 ft x 2 ft = 144 cubic ft divided by 27 = 3 cubic yards.

Measuring Guide:
- One cubic yard is about:
- 6 full wheel barrows
- 6 recyclable leaf bags
- Truck/Van/Trailers (including loose space):
- A regular box holds about 2 cubic yards of waste level with the side rails.
- An extended box holds about 2.5 cubic yards of waste level with the side rails.
